Magi-Nation – Gameboy Color Game

Magi-Nation is a role-playing game for Game Boy Color set in the Moonlands, a world divided into distinct regions. You play as a young outsider who arrives there and takes up the role of a Magi, exploring towns and dungeons from a top-down perspective. Rather than fighting directly, you collect and summon Dream Creatures, using animite to bring them into battle and building a team from the varied creatures found across the different regions. Battles play out in turns and draw on energy management as well as creature selection. Exploration involves talking to inhabitants, solving obstacles that block progress and gradually opening up new areas of the Moonlands as the story unfolds. The game shares its setting and creatures with the Magi-Nation card game.
