Mario Is Missing – NES Game

Mario Is Missing is an educational game starring Luigi. Bowser has set up a scheme involving stolen artifacts from cities around the world, and Luigi travels through doors to real-world locations to sort it out. In each city you talk to residents, recover a stolen landmark item and return it to the correct place, answering questions about geography and culture along the way. Identifying the city itself requires using an in-game information tool to look up facts and clues. Movement is side-scrolling, with Koopas carrying the stolen items and Luigi stomping them to get the goods back. The focus is on learning facts about world cities and monuments rather than platforming challenge, so combat and jumping are kept simple throughout the NES version.
