Micro Machines – NES Game

Micro Machines for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an overhead racing game featuring miniature toy vehicles driving around ordinary household locations. Courses are laid out on kitchen tables, desks, garden paths, snooker tables and bathroom surfaces, using spilled cereal, tools, books and pools of water as obstacles. Different events put you in cars, buggies, boats, helicopters and tanks, each handling differently on its chosen surface. The view keeps the whole track on screen at once, so the challenge is holding a tight line and not sliding off the edge, which sets you back. Races are short and can be decided early if one racer pulls far enough ahead. Alongside the single-player progression there is multiplayer support for racing against another player on the same screen.
