Prince of Persia – Gameboy Game

Prince of Persia on Game Boy is a handheld version of the side-scrolling platformer set in a labyrinth of palace dungeons. You run, climb and leap through corridors filled with spiked pits, guillotine blades, crumbling tiles and gates operated by pressure plates, and you cross swords with guards in duels built on stepping forward, parrying and striking. The prince moves with weighty, animation-led control, so jumps and ledge grabs need to be judged carefully rather than rushed. Potions scattered through the levels restore or increase your health, and the quest runs against a time limit. Each stage works as a puzzle, often asking you to find a switch and then retrace your steps before a gate closes. The monochrome handheld presentation keeps the original’s structure while trimming the visuals to the smaller screen.
