Rambo – NES Game

Rambo for the Nintendo Entertainment System is a side-scrolling action game with light role-playing structure, drawing on the second Rambo film. You control Rambo through jungle, cave and camp areas, fighting soldiers and animals with a knife and, later, ranged weapons. Defeating enemies earns experience, and gaining levels increases your strength and stamina, so grinding through respawning foes is a normal part of play. Between combat you talk to allies who give instructions and items needed to open the way forward, and the map loops back on itself, requiring you to backtrack and remember where things are. Password support lets you continue a long game across sessions.
