RoadBlasters – NES Game

RoadBlasters is a home conversion of Atari’s driving-and-shooting arcade game. You drive a heavily armed car down a series of numbered stretches of road, firing forward at enemy vehicles, bikes and gun turrets while trying to reach the end of each section. Your fuel drains constantly, so survival depends on collecting fuel globes dropped along the road and driving efficiently rather than simply going flat out. Support aircraft fly overhead and drop special weapon pods that attach to your car, giving temporary extra firepower such as stronger shots. Contact with traffic and roadside obstacles wrecks the car and ends the run. The perspective is behind the vehicle, and the emphasis is on steering accurately at speed while managing fuel and shooting hazards.
