Rocko’s Modern Life – SNES Game

Based on the Nickelodeon cartoon, this Super Nintendo release puts you in control of Rocko, the wallaby from the show, in a side-scrolling platform adventure. You run, jump and climb through stages themed around the everyday-but-strange settings of the series, avoiding hazards and enemies while looking for the items and exits that let you progress. Familiar faces from the cartoon turn up along the way, and the visual style tries to match the show’s exaggerated character designs and bright backdrops. Controls are straightforward, with jumping and simple attacks forming the core of the moment-to-moment play. It plays as a licensed 2D platformer aimed at fans of the series, with short stages and pattern-based obstacles rather than deep systems.
