Rolling Thunder – NES Game

Rolling Thunder is a side-scrolling run-and-gun action game, converted from the arcade original. You control a secret agent working against a hooded criminal organisation, moving through stages built on two levels of platform that you hop between to dodge fire and reach enemies. Your pistol carries limited ammunition, so much of the tension comes from managing shots and ducking into marked doors along the back wall to restock bullets and pick up stronger weapons. Enemies emerge from doorways and drop in from above, and later stages introduce different foe types alongside hazards and boss encounters. Movement is deliberate rather than fast, with crouching, jumping and rolling under obstacles forming the core of survival. Each stage runs against a time limit.
