Sesame Street 123 – NES Game

Sesame Street 123 is an educational release for the NES aimed at very young children, built around counting and number recognition. Rather than a single continuous game, it collects short activities featuring Sesame Street characters, with simple goals and gentle pacing so that a child can play without time pressure or fail states in the usual sense. Play involves counting objects on screen and responding with the controller, with characters reacting to correct answers. Controls are kept to a minimum, using the directional pad and one or two buttons, and the presentation relies on large colourful sprites and familiar faces from the television series. It is designed for parents and children to sit down with together, and the activities can be repeated freely rather than progressing through levels.
