Silk Worm – NES Game

Silk Worm is a side-scrolling shooter for the Nintendo Entertainment System, converted from the arcade original. Two vehicles are available: an attack helicopter that flies freely around the screen and an armed jeep that drives along the ground, jumping over obstacles and dips in the terrain. The helicopter has more freedom of movement, while the jeep is tied to the landscape and aims its turret independently. Waves of enemy tanks, aircraft, turrets and troops approach from the right as the stage scrolls, and destroying them can yield power-ups that upgrade your firepower. Two players can take part at the same time, with one controlling each vehicle, which changes how you cover the screen and share the incoming fire. Play is continuous action across successive stages.
