Slap Shot – Sega Master System Game

Slap Shot is an ice hockey game for the Sega Master System. You control a team on a scrolling rink, skating for the puck, passing between players and shooting on goal, with control switching to whichever skater is nearest the action. Defence involves body checks and intercepting passes, while goaltending is handled as you would expect from 8-bit hockey titles of the era. Matches are played in periods with a running clock and on-screen score, and a second player can take the opposing team for head-to-head games on the same console. The presentation is simple and arcade-paced rather than simulation-heavy, keeping the focus on quick end-to-end rushes and shots on net. It is a reasonable fit if you are looking for straightforward two-player sports options in the Master System library.
