Solomon’s Key – NES Game

Solomon’s Key is a single-screen puzzle-platform game for the NES. You control a wizard who can conjure and destroy blocks in the air beside him with a wave of his wand, and this single ability is the basis for every puzzle. Each room contains a key and a door: you must build stairways, break through walls and clear paths to reach the key and then the exit before the on-screen timer runs out. Enemies wander the rooms and can be crushed or avoided using the same block magic, and hidden items, extra lives and bonus points can be uncovered by conjuring blocks in the right places. Rooms grow more intricate as you progress, demanding precise thinking and quick execution together. It is a demanding game that rewards learning each room’s solution.
