Super Black Bass – SNES Game

Super Black Bass is a bass fishing simulation for the Super Nintendo. You head out onto a lake by boat, pick a spot to fish, and work through the practical steps of the sport: choosing a rod and line, selecting from a tackle box of lures, casting, and then retrieving at the right speed and depth to tempt a bass into striking. Once a fish bites, play shifts to a hooking and reeling contest where you manage line tension and the fish’s runs so it does not throw the hook or snap the line. Caught bass are weighed, and tournament play scores you on total weight against rival anglers. Water conditions and lure choice both influence what you can bring in, so much of the game is reading the lake and experimenting with your setup.
