Total Recall – NES Game

Total Recall is an action game based on the science fiction film. You play as Quaid, working through side-scrolling stages set in the city and on Mars, punching and kicking through henchmen and mutants while jumping across gaps and hazards. The layout of some levels sends you between streets, buildings, and interiors, with items and weapons available along the way. Between the walking stages the game breaks format with a driving sequence in which you steer a vehicle through traffic. Enemies come at you steadily from both sides, so crowd management and knowing when to keep moving matter as much as trading blows. Story moments follow the broad beats of the film, including the trip to Mars and the confrontation with the forces pursuing Quaid.
