X-men Mutant Academy – Gameboy Color Game

X-Men: Mutant Academy on Game Boy Color is a one-on-one fighting game built around Marvel’s mutant characters. You select a fighter and take on a series of opponents in side-on matches, using punches, kicks and special moves tied to each character’s powers, with rounds decided by depleting the other fighter’s health bar. The roster is drawn from the X-Men and their enemies, and stages are presented as static backdrops with large sprites. Alongside the single-player ladder there are options for fighting individual matches. The handheld version keeps things simple, with a small button layout handling attacks and special inputs. It is a compact take on the fighting game formula for players who want quick matches on the Game Boy Color rather than a lengthy adventure.
