Yoshi’s Safari – SNES Game

Yoshi’s Safari is a light-gun shooter for the Super Nintendo designed for the Super Scope. Mario rides on Yoshi’s back through a series of on-rails stages while you aim at the screen and fire at Koopa Troopas, Bullet Bills and other enemies that appear along the route. The stages scroll automatically using the console’s scaling effects to create a sense of depth, and each area ends with a boss encounter against one of Bowser’s forces that requires hitting weak points before your health runs out. Coins and items picked up during a stage restore health and extend your run. A second player can assist by controlling Yoshi’s movement with a standard controller while the first player handles the shooting.
