Animaniacs – SNES Game

Animaniacs for the Super Nintendo is a side-scrolling platformer based on the animated series. You control Yakko, Wakko and Dot as a group, with the trio following whichever character you currently lead, and you switch between them to use their individual abilities: Wakko swings his mallet, while the others handle pushing, climbing and other tasks needed to clear obstacles. The action takes place around a movie studio, and stages riff on film genres and sets, with props, hazards and studio staff standing in your way. Progress involves collecting items scattered through each area while avoiding damage, since the characters can be knocked out of your party. Puzzle-style barriers appear alongside the jumping and evasion, and the game leans on the cartoon’s slapstick style for its animation and sound.
