Rad Racer II – NES Game

Rad Racer II is a racing game for the Nintendo Entertainment System and a follow-up to Rad Racer, using the same behind-the-car perspective. You drive along a sequence of courses against a timer, passing rival traffic and steering clear of the roadside while trying to reach each checkpoint before the clock expires. Reaching a checkpoint adds time and sends you onto the next section of road. Stages take place in different locations with changing scenery and weather, and the road rises, falls and curves as you accelerate. As in the first game, an anaglyph 3D display mode can be switched on for use with red-and-blue glasses. The focus is on memorising course layouts and holding top speed through corners rather than on lap racing or car customisation.
