Burgertime – NES Game

BurgerTime is an arcade conversion for the NES in which you control chef Peter Pepper on a maze of platforms and ladders. Each stage is built from stacked burger ingredients suspended in the air; you walk across a bun, patty or piece of lettuce to make it drop to the layer below, assembling complete burgers to clear the screen. Food-themed enemies chase you through the maze, and contact with them costs a life. You can slow them briefly with a limited supply of pepper, or crush them by dropping an ingredient on top of them, which also earns bonus items. Later stages use tighter layouts and more aggressive pursuers, so route planning and using the ladders to break line of sight become central to survival.
