Crash ‘n’ the Boys: Street Challenge is a competitive sports game for the NES in which rival school teams face off in a series of street athletic events. Rather than straight track and field, the contests are exaggerated and combative: races run over rooftops and through obstacles, throwing and swimming events allow interference, and one event is a straight fight between competitors. You pick a team, and each character has differing stats that suit some events better than others, with points awarded across the competition to decide an overall winner. Controls are simple, built on button mashing, timing and well-placed attacks. Two players can compete head to head, and the sprite art and humour come from the same Japanese school-brawler lineage as other Technos-style titles.
