Demon Sword – NES Game

Demon Sword is a side-scrolling action game for the NES in which you play a sword-wielding warrior fighting through demon-infested landscapes. Your character can leap unusually high, reaching platforms and tree branches well above the ground, and the vertical space is a real part of navigating each stage. You attack with a blade at close range and can also throw projectiles at enemies further away, with power-ups that upgrade your weapon’s reach and strength. Stages scroll horizontally past forests, temples and ruins while demons, flying creatures and other monsters attack in steady numbers, and each area closes with a larger boss fight. Losing lives sends you back to earlier points, so learning enemy patterns and keeping your weapon upgraded is central to progressing.
