Earthbound – SNES Game

EarthBound is a role-playing game for the Super Nintendo set in a contemporary suburban world rather than a traditional fantasy setting. You play as Ness, a boy who leaves his home town after a meteor strike and travels with a small group of friends to confront a threat named Giygas. Enemies are visible on the map and battles are turn-based, using bats, yo-yos, PSI abilities and everyday items such as hamburgers and fizzy drinks. Damage is applied through a rolling HP counter, so a character can survive a fatal blow if you act before the number finishes falling. Between battles you use ATMs for money sent by your father, call home to save, and explore towns, caves and stranger locations across the world.
