Incredible Crash Dummies – Gameboy Game

The Incredible Crash Dummies is a side-scrolling action platformer for the Game Boy based on the crash test dummy toy line. You control a dummy through a series of stages, running and jumping past hazards, machinery and enemies while trying to keep yourself in one piece. Falling apart is part of the theme, and the game plays on the idea of a body built to take punishment. Progress relies on standard platforming skills: timing jumps, dealing with moving obstacles and finding a route through each stage to the exit. As a Game Boy release it uses monochrome sprite graphics and a simple two-button control scheme, with password or continue-style progress typical of handheld games of the era. Levels are compact and designed for short play sessions.
