Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City is a side-scrolling platformer for the Super Nintendo in which Jordan’s fellow players have been kidnapped and held in a series of themed lairs beneath Chicago. You control a cartoon version of Jordan, running and jumping through the stages while throwing basketballs as your main weapon. Different ball types act as power-ups with varying effects, and Jordan can perform high leaps and dunk-style moves to reach platforms and strike enemies. Each area is populated with mutated creatures and mechanical hazards, and ends with a larger boss encounter before you free a captive teammate. Between the action there are hidden items to collect and health to manage, so exploring the layouts pays off before you push on to the exit.
