Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – SNES Game

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Super Nintendo is a side-scrolling beat ’em up based on the television series. Stages begin with a Ranger fighting in civilian form, then let you morph into the suited version, changing your moveset and appearance mid-level. You punch, kick and jump your way through groups of Putty Patrol foot soldiers before reaching a monster at the end of the stage. Levels close out with a shift in scale: the monster grows, and the fight continues as a larger one-on-one duel rather than a crowd brawl, changing the rhythm from crowd control to reading a single opponent’s attacks. Different Rangers are used across the game’s stages, each with their own signature weapon. Presentation draws its sprites, music and colour palette directly from the show.
