Tennis – Gameboy Game

Tennis is a straightforward tennis game for the Game Boy. You play singles matches from a behind-the-court perspective, moving your player left, right, forward and back to reach the ball and using the buttons to hit flat shots or lobs, with timing and positioning determining direction and depth. Scoring follows standard tennis rules with games and sets. Several difficulty levels change the speed and accuracy of the computer opponent. Mario appears on court as the umpire, calling the action from his chair. Two players can compete against each other using a link cable. The controls are simple enough to pick up immediately, with the challenge coming from reading the ball’s trajectory and covering the court against increasingly capable opposition.
