The Uncanny X-Men – NES Game

The Uncanny X-Men is an overhead action game for the NES based on Marvel’s mutant team. Before each mission you choose from a roster of X-Men including Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler and Iceman, with each character having a basic attack and a special mutant power tied to an energy meter. Stages are viewed from above and involve moving through maze-like areas, destroying enemy generators and defeating the waves of foes they produce before facing a boss. A second player can join in, and the game also allows the computer to control a partner character alongside you. Health and power are limited within a mission, so managing when to use special abilities matters. Progress runs through a series of missions themed around different X-Men adversaries.
