Thundercade – NES Game

Thundercade is a vertically scrolling shooter for the Nintendo Entertainment System, adapted from the arcade game. You ride a motorcycle with an armed sidecar, driving upward through enemy territory while gunning down soldiers, tanks, helicopters and gun emplacements. Ground and air targets both appear, and the screen scrolls continuously, so you are constantly repositioning rather than holding a single lane. Between and during stages you can add weapon attachments to your bike, letting you build a loadout of forward and angled fire that changes how much of the screen you can cover. Bosses appear as large armored machines that take sustained fire to bring down. The NES version supports two players, and the short stage lengths and steady enemy waves keep the pace close to that of an arcade shooter.
